The Bhagavad Gita is a book, known globally as the finest source of spiritual teaching in the world. When I first read it, my heart and soul truly sang. The book spoke to the essence of who I am like nothing else had. It awakens authentic wellness within and takes you on a journey, bringing truth to the heart and not just the head.
Gita Gatherings is a monthly satsang, where I introduce others to the books teachings via Jack Hawley’s ‘Bhagavad Gita – Walkthrough for Westerners’. We will connect with the main character, the warrior Arjuna, who is on a battlefield of life. We are all ‘Warriors of Life’ and face challenges that can sometimes feel like a ‘battlefield.’
Join me as we explore this epic poem about life, death, love and service to self, community and the world – of which we are all one. Give yourself the gift of the Gita and “inhale this ancient, yet ever new breath of spiritual energy”.
“The whole and sole purpose of the Bhagavad Gita, the only reason it was originally given to humanity, is to help people rid themselves of their worldly suffering, find true happiness and achieve self-realization”
Sathya Sai Baba
