From birthdays to anniversaries, healing to pendulums, astrology to protection. Crystals and sacred gemstones have played an important role in our evolution. To date, the most expensive diamond sold at auction was the ‘Pink Star’ for a whopping $71.2 million!
A pattern I have noticed with a lot of my clients in the past six months has been the presence of, or messages from, a range of crystals or precious gemstones. And of course having studied geography alongside my teaching degree all things tectonic fascinate me. The earth, and life I believe, is in a constant state of manifesting or letting go. Just as the crust of Mother Earth does when she is constructing or deconstructing plate boundaries, that has formed the sacred gems we enjoy today.
Crystals can be powerful messengers.
Some begin with their birthstone. July’s birthstone is Ruby and is long associated with life force energy. ‘Ruby, it’s believed could predict danger, and others claimed it cures inflammatory diseases and soothes anger’. If you are new to crystals, remember it took thousands of years for them to form and many years for them to be discovered. I recommend sitting in meditation and asking for guidance from them before purchasing. Wherever you begin take your time, do some research. Slow and steady lays the best foundations for discovery.
Where are you grounded?
All precious gemstones and rock hold powerful energies grounding us and hold healing energy. They contain natural elements since they were formed thousands of years ago. Shaped by volcanic heat and the waters that seeped down through the earth. They ground and help energise your very being right where you are. Their vibration is in service to you, and you are in service to them.
I live in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. ‘Ruby, Gold, Sapphire, Hematite, Opal, Aquamarine, Quartz and Calcite’ have been found here. And of course, it is also this part of the world that we have the Giant’s Causeway. ‘Listed as a world heritage site, it is famous for over 40,000 basalt columns, formed some 60 million years ago, which are testament to a major stage in the earth’s development’.
‘Basalt is a stone known for strength, courage and stability. And is said to bring vitality as it is filled with the strong energy of heat and fire. It can give you power to live through each day and helps diminish negative aspects of one’s character.’
Crystals, healing and releasing. Crystals hold healing properties and can often serve as a visual cue for issues that we would like to heal and release. Some precious gems that have been gifted through spirit while working with many of my clients have been, gold, smokey quartz, rose quartz, diamond, tigers eye and amethyst. All carrying a high vibration in the etheric realms for the 21 day healing of their Rising Star and the 3 months healing from a Prema Birthing. Let’s reflect upon what some of healing properties may have been?

My all-time favourite crystal is Rose Quartz. I remember my spiritual teacher sharing once that the bedrock of Ireland is predominantly quartz. And this is one reason we hold the vibration of healing as the heart chakra of the world. What a gift! In my healing room I have a beautiful rose quartz lamp that when I flick that switch, I visualise myself grounding and manifesting that love, light and healing for all to see and feel.
