Anything holistic or spiritual in nature has always fascinated me. One area that sparks my curiosity from time to time is numerology.
This week, the number ‘21’ has been at the forefront of my mind. Numerologists say that 21 is deemed to be the perfect number – it is the product of 3 x 7, two other digits of numerological importance.
As well as this, we transition into adulthood at age 21. And spiritually, this is also when karmic cords are released. And the major chakras of the body are found where 21 nadis in our being intersect.
Further contemplating the number in my life, the year 2021 was an ending like no other for me. We lost our son Peter in December 2021, having only lived for a day in neonatal. And, I ended a 21-year cycle as I taught my last full year as a primary school teacher. Great trauma happened, great healing too. And karmic cords have certainly been released.
Not having the classroom or motherhood as a distraction allowed me to channel my energy towards my holistic training like never before. In truth, I was so grateful I had my holistic community as a focus on the most challenging days. But what really steadied my ship? How did I manifest the strength and courage to carry on? For me it was the powerful healing energy of the Rising Star.
I have received sessions every 21 days since the end of last year and it has been my saving grace. My anchor! Especially when there were no words to express the trauma and grief.
The Rising Star energy did not need words. It knew exactly what to do.
Since training as a Rising Star practitioner in 2006 & teacher in 2007, I have watched many clients free themselves and live life to their fullest potential. I also observed transformation in the classrooms of children under my care. By simply being in their company as I held the energy of the Rising Star, children labelled as having additional needs blossomed and many behavioural needs disappeared.

So powerful and yet so simple. I love it!
This September, I am harnessing the learning of the last 9 months and I am onto a new chapter. I have a wellness book club, training events and initiations ahead of me. Once a teacher always a teacher, I guess with my September start, but in a new rhythm.
Just as the trees stand rooted holding sacred space for the leaves to do what nature intended them to do. I now ground and hold these transformational energies so we may gather, heal and evolve together. For your story is mine and mine is yours. Or, as Ram Dass simply says, “We are all just walking each other home. And we definitely stand taller and stronger together in this forest called life.
